POSITION OVERVIEW
The Hotel Public Area Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of hotel public spaces. Public areas are often the first impression guests have when entering a hotel, making this role essential to ensuring a positive guest experience.
Successful candidates will perform cleaning duties across various hotel common areas, ensuring that all facilities remain clean, presentable, and safe for use at all times. Team members will work closely with supervisors and operational staff to maintain the company’s service standards and meet hotel cleanliness requirements.

Work locations will be assigned based on operational requirements, manpower availability, and business needs.
WORKING HOURS & SALARY STRUCTURE
12-HOUR SHIFT POSITIONS
Sentosa
• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Orchard
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Salary Package
• Basic Salary: SGD $1,910
• Gross Monthly Salary: Up to SGD $2,800
• Overtime Pay Applicable
• Additional Allowances Subject to Eligibility
8-HOUR NIGHT SHIFT POSITIONS
Mandai Zoo / Bugis / Suntec City / Orchard
• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Changi
• 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM
Salary Package
• SGD $2,000 – SGD $2,200 per month
• Stable Monthly Income

JOB PURPOSE
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all public areas within assigned hotel premises remain clean, hygienic, organized, and welcoming. Clean and well-maintained facilities contribute significantly to guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall hotel reputation.
The Public Area Cleaner plays a vital role in supporting daily hotel operations by maintaining cleanliness standards and ensuring all public spaces are consistently presented in excellent condition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Clean and maintain hotel lobbies, reception areas, waiting areas, and entrances
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors according to operational schedules
• Clean elevators, lift lobbies, corridors, staircases, and common walkways
• Ensure public restrooms remain clean, sanitary, and fully stocked
• Replenish tissue paper, soap, hand towels, and other restroom supplies
• Wipe and sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, railings, lift buttons, and counters
• Remove dust from furniture, fixtures, decorative items, and surfaces
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste according to company procedures
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to supervisors
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and assigned work plans
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and responsibly
• Maintain proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Assist with special cleaning assignments when required
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Able to stand and walk for long durations during shifts
• Willing to work assigned schedules, including night shifts where applicable
