POSITION OVERVIEW

 

As a Hospital Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across various hospital facilities and public areas.

 

You will work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned according to established hospital hygiene standards and infection control requirements.

 

The role requires attention to detail, commitment to cleanliness, and the ability to follow safety procedures consistently. Employees will receive structured guidance and support to ensure high-quality work performance.

 

Your daily efforts will contribute to creating a safe, comfortable, and hygienic environment for everyone within the hospital.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

 

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining cleanliness of floors

 

• Operating scrubbing machines and professional cleaning equipment

 

• Cleaning patient wards and treatment areas according to assigned schedules

 

• Cleaning hospital corridors, waiting areas, reception areas, and common spaces

 

• Cleaning staff offices, administrative areas, meeting rooms, and support facilities

 

• Sanitizing and disinfecting high-touch surfaces throughout the hospital

 

• Cleaning walls, windows, glass panels, doors, partitions, and furniture

 

• Removing dust from equipment, fixtures, and designated surfaces

 

• Collecting, sorting, and disposing of waste according to hospital waste management procedures

 

• Replacing trash liners and maintaining waste collection points

 

• Replenishing tissue paper, hand soap, sanitizer, and cleaning supplies when required

 

• Responding promptly to spills, accidents, and urgent cleaning requests

 

• Conducting routine disinfection of frequently used areas

 

• Following infection prevention and control guidelines

 

• Maintaining proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment

 

• Reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, or cleanliness concerns to supervisors

 

• Assisting with periodic deep cleaning projects when scheduled

 

• Supporting team operations to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently

 

• Complying with workplace safety regulations and hospital protocols at all times

 

All duties must be performed in accordance with hospital cleanliness standards, infection control requirements, and workplace safety procedures.

TRAINING PROVIDED

 

No previous hospital cleaning experience is required.

WORK SCHEDULE

 

Employees will be assigned one of the following schedules based on operational requirements:

 

Option 1

 

• 6 Days per Week

 

• 8 Hours per Shift

 

OR

 

Option 2

 

• 5.5 Days per Week

 

• 8.5 Hours per Shift

 

Shift timings and roster arrangements will be determined by management based on operational needs.

 

Overtime opportunities may be available depending on manpower requirements.
